Is there any mental health counsellors out there who wants to encourage?

I am thinking about this field i only have some teaching background . Is it a great field to enter into is it rewarding in all aspect?? I would be doing the masters at argosy university is there anything to be weary of . Or is it not a great idea ?. I love people i like to help. I think i could major in substance abuse or say rehabilitation counselling. Let me know what you think? I dont want to spend the money and end up regretting it?
