Do they advertize toothpaste in the UK?

I know it's a stereotype, but I met a Brit the other day and his teeth were just horrific. Don't they have dental care as part of the national health system? Not just brown and nasty, but crooked as can be. Americans spend over a billion dollars a year on toothpaste and tooth brushes.
