PAINFULL SUNBURN! HELP?!?

So i got a bad sunburn yesterday and today at school it hurt so bad and i have to wear a uniform! How much longer will i have this intense pain and when will the redness go away? Im also not looking forward to the whole peeling part is there anyway to like stop that! please give me any info you can! thank you :) so far i have dreched the sunburn in aloe vera and been taking cold showers along with using moisturizer anyything else??
