Problems with homemade bow?

Okay. So i made a bow out of some live branches, lashed them together tightly and strung it alright. I found the arrow and sharpened it, but for some reason when i shoot it the arrow flips in mid air. how can i fix this? Better yet, can someone give me a better way to make a bow? TY :D
