Is the U.S. government taking advantage of the Cameroonian dictatorship for their own benefit?

So that they can get as much oil as possible? As well as the other Cameroonian resources? Cause that is how I'm seeing it right now. If that's the case, its so unfair.. America tries to act like they're the good guy but in everything they do, they are just looking out for their best interest.
